Bachelor of Visual Communication Design (which is the sexy way of saying graphic design).
What year of study are you in?
3rd Year.
What did you feel when you heard you were the recipient of the Academic Excellence Scholarships Recognising Outstanding Performance in Undergraduate Studies?
I honestly thought it was a scam. I logged into MyHub from a different device just to be certain it was real. Safe to say after I found out it was, I was in complete shock.
What do you think are the personal qualities that have contributed to your academic achievements?
Being my own harshest critic as well as my most enthusiastic supporter. I also think being gay has something to do with it.
How do you motivate yourself towards your studies?
Knowing that at the end of it all I’ll have the satisfaction of a job well done.
Who are your role models?
Every tutor I’ve ever had.
What are your goals for the future?
Harry Styles and I are gonna get hitched and live in a secluded cabin in the woods. Maybe Honours first though?
What are three things you enjoy most about studying at the University of Newcastle?
The endless stream of opportunities, the phenomenal student gallery, and the dedication of every lecturer and tutor.
What tips do you have for other students when it comes to excelling in their studies?
Do the very best you can. Ask for help. Critique is a gift.
